Baby Blankets

My mom and I have been creating some baby blankets for the little guy and I wanted to share... I think they have turned out really cute and can't wait to wrap the little dude up in them.
This is the very first one we made. My mom and I made this one before we knew rather or not we were having a boy or a girl. My mom loves Frogs so she said every grand kid has to have a frog blanket.

This one just has several different African animals, and Moose. Why the artist put those animals together I do not know, but its still a very cute blanket.

This one is one of those fleece blankets you cut the edges and tie together. I thought it was so fitting with the little bear playing baseball. Then my sister found a ceramic bear also dressed up in a baseball uniform and holding a ball and bat, that she is going to paint for the baby's room.

Then the last one I made by myself. This is a very special blanket to me because my Grandpa died 15 years ago, and when he died my Grandma had a garbage bag full of all his old Levi western shirts he wore everyday. Which she was just going to burn, so my Mom snagged the bag to hopefully make something from his shirts. I don't know if you have ever felt Levi shirts but there not ruff like a pair of jeans, they are actually pretty soft. So I took some of the shirts and made this baby blanket with them. You can see there is some of the pockets on there as well. The other really neat thing about this is; this same Grandpa's Birthday is March 16, so with my fingers crossed I hope that this little guy decides to make his arrival on March 16, 2010. It is only 5 days before my actual due date, so it could happen, but I just think it would be really neat for these two great guys in my life to share the same birthday, but we will see if this little guy agrees.

Ah, the 16th is a good date. That's my dad's bday & Miss Maggie's bday too (Jess' little girl). That would be a great day for him to be born.
