27 Weeks

We had another Doctors Appointment on Friday. I had to do the Glucose test, past, everything went well. It hurt when the nice lady pricked my finger, and she gave me a bruise, but it was better than having to take my blood.

We got to hear the heart beat and he sounds like he has a good, strong heart. I measured at 22 inches, which the doctor said was small, but she isn't worried cause I wasn't that big to start with (GO figure, didn't know that bit of information). She said on the plus side I have gained 17 pounds over all and she is very, very pleased with that. I have to start going to doctor's visits every two weeks, so my next appointment will be on December 31st. She said she wants to do another ultrasound, to make sure he is still not breached. If he is breached than most likely we will plan for a C-Section. It was either that or have the option of her manually flipping him during delivery, and well.... that just sounds like too much fun. I'm not very excited about the C-section option either, but it sounds better that being mutilated. But we will know more in a week about where he is, He is moving like crazy, and he loves it when his daddy talks he doesn't even care if Jon is speaking to him he just likes the sound of Jon's voice and laugh. I have been trying to read stories to him, but so far he hasn't been too interested, well he doesn't seem to be from this side of things anyway ;)

We had to go to Salt Lake City to have the Jeep looked at and we figured since the doctor is in Evanston we would just keep going to Salt Lake after. So Jon and I decided to visit Baby R Us. Talk about a kid in a candy store Jon had so much fun playing with all the toys and checking things out. Half of the toys he picked out he said, "We will have to buy two though so Daddy can have one to play with him." I have been trying to pick out the car seat and swing for weeks now, reading reviews and trying to figure out my best options, couldn't get Jon to help then. Take him to the store and he wanted to buy one of everything. We did limit ourselves to a couple of important purchase.

The Car seat... and the Swing

We picked out the crib set, but are waiting to buy it since he will be in a cradle for a little while before we move him into the crib.

On Saturday for our ward party we were asked to play the part of Mary and Joseph

There were no speaking parts, so it was the easiest part we have ever played we just sit there playing with the baby. We had a lot of fun though and the ward party turned out great. They had us all make the expedition to Bethlehem to pay our taxes we had to pay with a coin to get into Bethlehem, than another coin to eat, and another coin to return home. It was fun and they put a lot of hard work into it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

You're a stinker! Only 17lbs!? How would that be? Seriously count yourself lucky girlie cause I gained so much weight with ALL my boys, it took forever to work it off. I'm very jealous of you. You look way cute though. :)

Kalab mostly hung out in the toy section too at Babies 'R Us. I like your car seat. And I have that same swing because my mom's neighbor gave it to me. My niece has been using it when she's up for the holidays and she loves it (as does my nephew who is too big for it, but the swing withstands him too- so we know it's durable!) Glad you passed your glucose test! Have fun getting another peek at that baby boy!
