Thanksgiving 2011

Jon's parents were supposed to come to our house this year, but about a week before they were supposed to come Jon's dad had a severe a heart attack and then a mini stroke on top of that. The doc said he still could come to Wyoming but he had to take it easy and be careful where he walked. Since the stroke caused him to have blurred vision. Jon and I decided that wouldnt be a good idea in the snow and ice, so we swapped tickets and flew to Georgia.
It was really warm 80's most days and we had a very nice Thanksgiving/Christmas. (We had an early Christmas since we wont be together for Christmas) As you can see Bridger's favortie part was the tractors.

It was neat we got to tour some old buildings there in Nashville. One was an old Jail built in 1903 were they actually hung 2 people. They let us go in and see it and gave us a tour.

Then we went into this old home which was built in 1901. It is called the Carter/Clark home. It was originally built by a dr named Carter in 1901. He used the home for the hospital as well. They had a big ball room and they said in the winter they would turn it into an ice skating ring. Then when he died his daughter took the house, and during the depression she allowed people to move in and the ballroom was turned into bedrooms. It is a beautiful home.

Sounds like fun! I love visiting historical places! I want to go to the south someday.
