Well the prayers have been heard, and Jon and have defiently felt them. Things have happened so fast and we have seen so many miracles in just the short past days let alone hours it's hard to know where to start.
They had surgery scheduled for Friday and it got moved to Monday so they were able to do a scope on Jon's heart to look and see if there are any more blood clots in there, and to see how big the hole was in Jon's heart. So they were gonna take a camera and go down Jon's throat and into his heart to check that out. We spent most of Friday relaxing and trying to rest. They did get Jon up and went for a walk, they did another CT Scan which did show some more swelling but they said that was pretty normal for there be more swelling several days later after such a severe stroke. They also did a ultrasound over his legs to make sure there was no more blood clots waiting around that they weren't aware of, and they didn't find any. Jon slept for most of the day and when he was awake he just wanted Bridger. He had me crying several times the first time was when he came back from the CT scan he asked for Bridger and when I told him he wasn't here he was in Green River. He got upset and told me how he missed him sleeping on his chest. I told him Bridger misses him to but he is being taken very good care of and he is happy. Jon then asked for his wallet and pulled out a picture of Bridger and stared at it smiling for about 5 mins then he grabbed it pulled into his heart and curled up and went to sleep. The other time was we were talking about that he could get the feeling back in his left side cause he was a fighter and I knew he would make it possible. He told me I have to get it back because I'm gonna need my left hand to teach Bridger how to bat, and I'm gonna need my left hand to catch his ball cause the mit goes on your left hand. I said yep so you need to get better and he said yep I need to do it for Bridger.
This morning Jon's family arrivved from Georgia. When the arrived it was shift change so I was able to get breakfast with them and bring them up to speed about what has been going on for the last couple of days. After shift change I took Mama Spikes back to see Jon. I was amazed to find him sitting up in the chair eating his breakfast. Jon was doing really well this morning I could tell a huge difference already in him just from yesterday. I let him visit one on one with each family member for a little while until the doctor came in.
The doctor had also seen a very nice improvement. They tested Jon's reflex and vision. He had feeling back in his left side all except his finger and toes, those still didn't seem to react to touch. The vision in his left eye seemed to have come back, he could see infront of him but not off to the sides. The biggest improvement for me was the fact that his head didn't hurt this morning. He really didn't want to take the pain medication, but the nurse made him she was afraid it would come back if she didn't. The docotor said that Jon's heart suregery is scheduled for Monday at 4 pm. He said if Jon continues to progress like he has been that he can be moved out of NCCU tomorrow. He told Jon he was doing awesome and that he didn't see any reason why he wouldn't be able to do anything that could do before. He said if surgery goes well and Jon is still doing well that he didn't see any reason why he couldn't go home either Tuesday or Wednesday.
His headache came back lightly and he began to get sick again that afternoon. The nurse said it was probablly because he had such a big morning. So we left him alone and let him get some rest again.

I knew he'd make improvements... Jon is just not one to give up... especially for you and Bridger. You have gone through a lot of 'darkness', and now it's nice to see some 'light' :)
