Yesterday the doctors came in and suggested that we spend one more day trying to get Jon off the sodium and then on more day for evaluation to see where Jon is going to need therapy when we go home.
So Jon did everything he could yesterday to show the doctors he was ready to go home. He said I miss my son and I dont want to be here anymore.
Physical Therapy came in and said Jon was doing very well considering what he had been through. They suggested he continue to work on his balance when he goes home, but other than that he was good to go. He also had a speech evaluation and he passed with flying colors. She said she didn't have anything to test Jon's cognitive high enough. We do have to continue on with some therapy at home, but the good part about that is we get to go home.
My cousin Dana was so excited he finally got to draw Jon's blood.
All week he has been coming up to check on us but every time Jon needed blood taken Dana would just miss it. So they said they were sending someone up to take some blood, and I was dissapointed cause I knew it was Dana's day off. So I texted him and told him sure now that your off we need someone to take his blood. Well it just so happened that Dana had got called in, so he came walking through our door. I said are you here to visit or are you here for work. He said I'm here on business! So it was nice to have family stabbing Jon in the Hospital. Now he knows how much my family loves him ;)
Jon's room was right by where the Helicopter landed for life flight. So the whole time we were here we would here the helicopter taking off and landing. I tried to get a couple of pictures with my cell phone.
So this morning they said his sodium level was good they un hooked him from his IV and said hopefully today was discharge day. The doctor is suppose to come in very soon to let us know, but his attendent didn't see any reaosn why not. Jon still has to get his portable heart monitor put on so he can be monitored for a month, and get his perscriptions and the dates for when we come back in a month to follow up, and then we should be headed down the canyon. It has been probably the longest and most stressful week of my life. I don't know what I would have done if I lost Jon. I am just very thankful that he is my husband and the father of our son. I couldn't ask for a better one, and I know Bridger couldnt ask for a better Dad. Bridger is defiently what made Jon pull through so fast and I know he would do anything to be with his son. He recieved 2 blessings one in Evanston and one from my dad that said he would get better and be able to continue on his long life and continue on with the Lord's work. I know that those blessings were real and they came from our Father in Heaven. Thank you to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. We defiently felt them and were very much appreciated them. That was another thing that help Jon recover so quickly was all the phone calls that came in. It meant alot to him that so many people cared and were concerned about him. He enjoyed everyday hearing everyones comments and who called that day. So thank you for that!
As always the pictures of Bridger that was sent to us:
Thanks again for all the Prayers! Bridger we are coming home!

Oh I am so happy for you guys!
So glad you are all home safe and sound!
I thought that looked like the back of my brother's head! (He never let's people take pictures of him, so that's how I've gotten use to identifying him.)
I am so glad to hear that he's going to go home and in such a short amount of time. It seems like an eternity in the hospital, so I'm so glad that it's through! The Lord loves you guys, this is a testimony to me of that! Keep it up!! :)
Very exciting... Jon will just get stronger from here on out...
Rachel, I found your blog off the Schnackeberg's blog. Jolene is my cousin. Anyway, Tim and I have been praying for you and Jon every night. I am so happy that he gets to come home. I just could not believe it when Tim told me what happened. You guys are going through so much. Let us know if we can do anything for you.
Hooray!!!! The hospital is no fun when you are stuck there... I am so glad that you are able to come home! What a relief!
so glad all is well!
Oh Rachel! I had no idea! I just wish I could be there to visit you guys. My heart aches for you guys, but I am amazed at the miracles in your lives, and Jake and I are earnestly praying for Jon's continued recovery and a happy reunion with your precious son.
