Since my family went to Canada bear hunting, Jon and I decided we wanted to do something fun too. So we headed to South Dokata to see Bear Country and everything. Jon had never been there so we saw Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse too. On the drive up there we stopped at Martin's Cove (The Mormon Handcart Site) and Independence Rock. We wanted to see Devils Tower, but the road was closed :( . We stayed in Hot Springs, SD the first night on Fri and then drove up to Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore on Sat.

The 2nd night (Saturday) we stayed in Rapid City, SD while we were there we went to Reptile Gardens and Bear Country. Then stayed the 3rd night (Sunday) as well.

On our way home we stopped in Deadwood, South Dakota. Not impressed :( wish someone would have told us before we got there. They have not kept it historical like they said it seemed like a modern version of old deadwood a place people like to get drunk and party, but as a historical place to visit not impressed. I did walk up and take a picture of Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok's grave, and Jon took a picture of the original place Hickok was killed, but its no longer a bar I think its a Insurance place now :( The bar is up the street and its still a bar, we walked in and looked around but it was very creepy. Jon and I left the town having a very creepy feeling. Needless to say we probably will never go back there.
