We get to Evanston the rush me strait back to Labor/Delivery. She asked if the doctor in Rock Springs did confirm rather or not my water had broke. I told her no, he just checked me. So she decided to do that first. She checked my water and no it had not broke. Then she decided to check and see how dialated I was.... a 0. Nothing I'm not dialated at all, but I was effaced to 90%. So she called my doctor to confirm what she wanted to do. My OB was concerned because just Wednesday when she checked me in the office I was only 50% effaced and she was worried about the dramatic change in just 3 days. So they decided to start me on potizin in the morning and get me along the way.
Monday: Jon and I stayed the night in the hospital and a 5:00 in the morning they started me on the potizin so when my docotor got there at 8 they would be able to break my water. When my docotor got there at 8 she checked me again still dialted to a 0. They turned the potizin up as much as they could and waited till 11:00 to check me again. 11:00 still dialted to a 0. Doctor said it isn't going to happen today go home. So we went home. I was very depressed, I felt like someone promised me I was having Christmas in the morning and then when I woke up in the morning Santa Claus didnt come. Dr. Evans told me that it would probably be best if I quit my job until after the baby is born. Since I was going to quit once the baby was born anyway, two weeks early didn't seem to make that difference to me. I scheduled another appointment to see my OB on Thursday.
Thursday: Jon had to work so my mom took me to my doctor's appointment. We all had our fingers crossed that after all the contractions, and all the potizin that maybe I had finally started to dialate. She checked me and... nope still a 0 no change at all. I was worried because the baby had started to slow down and I had them check him on the monitor to make sure he was ok and he was. My doctor said for us to give it another week and if I still had not gone into labor on my own she would schedule me for another enducing after my appointment next Wednesday. We went home and at about 4:00 I started having hard contractions. I tried to stay calm and then began to time them. They were about 10 mins apart. By 6:30 I was timing them 5 minutes apart and they were getting stronger and I felt lots of pressure down there. I called the Hospital and they suggested I call my OB. So I called my OB and she said for me to come in. So we loaded up again and headed back to Evanston. The contractions were 2 to 3 mins apart and lasting about 3 mins. They were right on top of eachother and alot stronger by the time I got to the hospital. Same thing rush me backed to Labor/Delivery hooked me and lets check you.... still nothing a 0. But with contractions like that they decided to watch me for an hour and check me again. An hour went by and the contractions continued on and were still getting stronger. The nurse came back into check me again..... still nothing. Doctor wanted to send me home. I didnt feel comfortable going home knowing my contractions were that close together and I was completly effaced. So we stayed the night in a hotel and planned on coming back over in the morning to be checked again. It began to snow and the roads were closed from Evanston to Green River. I got in the bathtub to see if I could relax my contractions. After awhile I came to terms that the tub wasnt seeming to help with the contractions and I need to get out and go to bed. My Pelivic bone hurts so bad I couldn't even get out of the tub. I had to have Jon lift me out of the tub and help me get dressed, he then had to carry me to bed cause it hurt so bad to walk. I had contractions all night and about 4 in the morning they finally started to slow down.
Friday: when we got up I still couldn't walk, and didn't feel good at all I was very sick to my stomach. I tried to get a small breakfast down before my appointment at 9:45. When we got to the doctor office I was hoping so much that after all the stuff I went through the night before I had changed even a little bit. My OB listened to the babies heartbeat and she couldn't find it so she pressed on my belly and he kicked her hand, so she would move her hand and adjust the heart doppler and he would kick her hand again. Finally she found his heart beat and it sounded perfect. Major relief to a mommy. It was down to the wire time to check me again...(I really hate being checked by the way) moment of truth... nope still dialated to a 0. At this point everyone is wondering if I even will dialate. My OB said she has a new plan, her new plan goes like this. This coming Monday I am to check into the hospital again and they are going to put some medicine on my cervix for 12 hours to help it relax and then Tuesday Morning start me again on the Potizin. My pelvis is hurting so much because he is so low he is pushing down on it and causing a lot of pressure. She said because I'm having close contractions she wants me to be on bed rest until Monday when I go in to the Hospital that way I'm well rested and ready to go for the big day. My mom asked her if this was a for sure thing this time, or if it still doesn't work will she just send me home again, just so I can prepare emotionally that could be an option. She said no this is it, if she still does not dialate we will go for a c-section. I will not send you home this time pregnant. She told Jon to baby me, "She is your princess and you to treat her like one." When we got home Jon put me to bed and I stayed there all night. He was so sweet bringing me food and water all the time.
Saturday: My pelvic bone hasn't hurt as bad today there is still a lot of pressure but I can at least walk which helps with the 2 o'clock in the morning bathroom breaks. I decided because I knew for sure I was going to have a baby next week that I needed to make things easier, and decided to make an appointment to get my haircut. I called and got an appointment and my sister gave me a ride and I got my hair cut and my sister gave me a pedicure. I'm excited, but also nervous for next week, my major concern is that everything goes ok and that the baby is going to be fine. I'm very excited to see him in person now, and not just on a screen. It's hard to believe that next week I'm really going to be a mom.

My friend had that thing and her cervix and than the pit-drip! It worked fine! Good Luck with everything, you will be an awesome MOM!
PS. Just from experience, the Pit-Drip makes labor 10 times strong than it really is so just ask for the epidural right away..LOL! I am going to do that with my next one!
Boy oh boy girlie, you've had a WILD ride!! Just to let you know, Jess had a pedicure the Saturday before she delivered Mags. (She delivered on a Monday, so 2 days later.) I'll hope it relaxes you enough to do the same. :)
Crazy! I am glad that everything is okay though. I decided though that the people who don't want the baby to come always go early, and the ones that do want the baby to come, go on time or late. Me, I wanted to be late and was praying that she wouldn't come early because it was just not how I had planned it. Well, she came early. People said it was the chili dog I ate that night, but I just think it was because Maggie likes to mess up my plans. =) I hope all goes well, and I'll be checking in. =)
