The Second Africa Video

Kalab finished making the video to our second trip to Africa. We all went over to Mom and Dad's house to watch the video and eat pizza. It was so much fun re-living the moments and hearing everyones stories again.

Kalab did an awesome job again with the video. He added alot more comedy and great stories. Going to Africa with my family the first time was a dream we never thought we would ever see again. Then to be able to return and this time with our spouses and more family and friends was like living another immpossible dream. Africa has its own special spirit and a heart felt feeling like no other. I know anyone in the "Mullins Tribe" will tell you its a place that will live in your heart forever. I'm glad we were able to catch our adventure on tape and Kalab took the time to put it all into life again for us. He gave each of us our own copy of the DVD.

Thanks KABE!! P.S. Kym will you tell Kabe :P

THE HOUSE:

The house is coming along slowly. We have most of the sheet rock hung up. My Project this week was the "future" brick wall by the stairs. Right now it is just a concrete wall that has been painted a nasty yellow color. I have had a fun time (NOT:/) trying to get the paint from the 1920's off. It has been intresting we have found some wierd things like a drian in the middle of our hallway. A brick Chimney from the old coal burning stove. Which makes sense to why there is a door heading outside from that room, that's where they loaded the coal in. It makes you greatful for the change of times. I dont think loading coal in would be a very fun job expecially in the winter in Wyoming. Then we have found some not so intresting things like Mold behind the paint I have been scrapping off all week. The fact that one of the support beams is completly rotted off. No big deal just holding up the ceiling from coming down on our heads. We are having fun working together though, and I think that's the important part. We both agree we are ready to be done with the construction part and on to the decorating part of it, but we will be soon enough. I will give you a quick preview as to what the tile will look like.

I am way excited about it. It's my favorite part so far. Hopefully it will help out with flooding in the future if it ever should happen again. Hope not! Oh and sense alot of you have asked I better let you know. NO MORE MICE!!!!! YEAH!!!!!! It has been fun getting rid of them. HAHA! I have more pics but their on the camera at home sorry. Hopefully I can post them soon. Since we have no internet... I have to do it on the work computer.
Other intresting facts of the week:
I got my hair re-done. Love it, I'm glad I made the change. Things are good in the Spikes house in Wyoming. We have been working on the house and watching American Idol. Go DANNY GOOKEY! LOL I have never been a huge fan of American Idol, but Jon and I liked some people during the try outs part and decided to see how far they have got.

Hope all is well with you, Until Next time.......

I am loving AI too! Glad stupid Tatiana got voted off! Good that you guys are getting along doing your house projects. I think you have seen the way Sam and work together. The job always gets done but sometimes I feel like we should sell tickets to the neighbors! Ha ha!

Kab did do a great job...love it! So funny!!! hahha...love the tile. I like remodeling for the most part, but it is definitely nice to get it DONE. Such a good feeling and nice to just have a home that you have done things in yourself...and I really like your hair. Looks really good on ya! And yippee for no more Cinderella Mice, maybe you could've sang to them and they would've helped remodle *like they helped Cinderella make her dress* just a thought...hahah

That is great that you got rid of the mice! No fun. I would have been screaming if they were running by my feet. Old houses are so funny. It is so interesting to see what you find behind walls. Have fun!
